Hello, my name is Rosa V. Alameda
My human resources career began in 1991.
Sometimes life throws unexpected curve balls, difficult moments, and challenges. One alone must choose to view these as reasons to fail or opportunities to excel. Only a few months before I completed a bachelor’s degree at the University of Puerto Rico, I had flown to New York to escape the pain of a very difficult personal situation. At the time, I was devastated, frustrated, and confused.
I went from job to job trying to find a future. It was in January 1991 when I had the blessing of meeting a person who became a key influence in my future. He was the vice president of a Fortune 500 Company who hired me for an entry-level HR position. At the time, I did not realize the importance of this opportunity.
